The summer of 2006 was my first trip to The Netherlands. The Lord had spent much time knitting my heart to a Dutch brother and sister in this nation. My Dutch family’s home was to become a place of rest and restoration for me. The Netherlands, is a place where I learned to be still and listen to my Lord. A place where I get refreshed whiled on the mission field. I always had a mandate from my dear brother, to rest! However in 2006, even rest did not exclude divine appointments which occurred in church services, at my brother’s house with many of the next generation, as well as amazing encounters on the fast trains traveling to The Netherlands. Traveling to the nation the first time, included a lesson for me about praying strategically and specifically. The Lord has a very good sense of humor! The summer of 2007, ministry expanded from divine appointments to include preaching during Sunday service. The Lord challenged and met with His people. Christians being ministers, moving in the power of the Holy Spirit is stretching for many Dutch. It was such a blessing to be poured out on their behalf. I was so blessed the Lord met each individual right where they are! I imparted what the Lord had given to me on their behalf. They were challeged to get the Lord out of their box and to "be" the church. They were exhorted to be our Lord hands and feet to the lost and hurting. The were challenged to keep short accounts and forgive as they had been forgiven. As always, I stand in awe of my Lord and His unconditional for for others. In 2008, 2009 the road between the nations goes both ways. I pray and listen for the next step.
