Israel

The summer of 2007 the Lord told me to go with my Senior Pastor and our staff to the Foursquare convention in Israel. “Go, I have something for you there.” He gently spoke to me. So, I began my European Mission that year in Israel.

We walked where Jesus had walked. I saw the rough terrain where the Jesus and the apostles traveled by foot. Meeting His people in Jerusalem was life changing. Looking out over the valley where Elijah had his servant fetch water to drench the offering at the alter of Baal. I stood before it in awe, seeing the hard Rock of which the alter was made of, I could imagine water all over the place. Yet, when Elijah prayed, fire lapped the sacrifice in one consuming fiery rush! That very faith is available to us. The spiritual gift of imparted faith is available to each of His people as we partner along side the Holy Spirit and pray at the center of His will. We each are called to Empty ourselves out to be filled up and poured out again and again. What did I learn in Israel? That I need to get my Lord out of the box I have kept Him in. I need Him to show me who I am in Christ! I need to look in His mirror for my identity and not my own mirror. The lessons of healing, the shaking of an individual's faith serve me today. Will I travel again to the Holy Land again? Yes, but only at the Lord’s request? If He says go…I will go!
